Abstract Submission Open
The BMES Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering Special Interest Group is seeking abstracts for the BMES Conference on Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering (CMBE) to be held January 2 - 6, 2023 in Indian Wells, CA. Refer to the required abstract submission instructions and format below before submitting your abstract.
Abstract Submission Opens: July 14th, 2022
Abstract Submission Closes: September 14th, 2022
Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Opens: October 5, 2022
Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Closes: November 11, 2022
FORMAT AND SUBMISSION
There are four categories of abstract submission. All abstracts will be considered for podium and poster presentations. Podium presentations will primarily consist of a prestigious lineup of keynote and invited speakers in addition to presentations by awardees of the Graduate Student Awards, Post Doc Fellow Awards, and Rising Star Awards. Additional presentations will be selected from general submissions abstracts.

Format
1. General Submission Abstracts/Poster Abstracts: Submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is less than 250 words in a single pdf file. The name of the presenting author should be underlined in the abstract document. A select few general submission abstracts will be considered for podium presentations. 2. Graduate Student Travel Award: Eligibility: Applicants must be Graduate Students (PhD not awarded) at the time of submission. Submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is no more than one page in length. The inclusion of a figure demonstrating key results in the abstract is encouraged. Additionally, authors should supply a NIH or NSF-style biosketch. 3. Post-doctoral Researcher Travel Award: Eligibility: Applicants must be Post-doctoral researchers (PhD awarded, but not have a independent lab) at the time of submission. Submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is no more than one page in length. The inclusion of a figure demonstrating key results in the abstract is encouraged. Additionally, authors should supply a NIH or NSF style biosketch. 4. Rising Star Award for Junior Faculty: Eligibility: Applicants must have had an independent lab for less than 6 years at the time of submission. Rising star award submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is no more than one page in length. The inclusion of a figure demonstrating key results in the abstract is encouraged. Additionally, authors should supply a NIH or NSF style biosketch.
