Professional Bio
Dr. Brent Winslow is Staff Scientist at Google, LLC and has over 15 years of experience in studying human neuroscience and physiology at multiple scales. His research has focused on studying the brain’s reaction to injury and disease and producing therapeutic strategies and devices aimed at restoring normal function. Brent has also been active in advisory councils and advocacy groups from brain injury to bleeding disorders, has published several articles from in vivo electrophysiology to craniofacial reconstruction, and has presented work in various international bioengineering, neuroscience, and imaging conferences. Brent earned a PhD degree in Bioengineering from the University of Utah, where he studied the role of technology on cognitive and physiological status. Prior to joining Google, Brent was Chief Scientist at Design Interactive, andperformed post-doctoral work at the Allen Institute for Brain Science where he led development of the first full-scale mammalian connectome, and developed millimeter scale wireless biosensing devices.
