Inclusive Practices for Faculty Recruiting
MARCH 1ST, 11AM EST.
Join our moderator, Evangelia Bellas as she, and our three panelists, discuss lessons learned in inclusive faculty recruiting and where there is room for improvement. We will hear from faculty who have roles at various stages of the faculty recruiting process, including Faculty Search Committee Chair, Department Chair and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development and learn about their practices in inclusive recruiting. In addition to demonstrating why it is important to our BME community to have diverse representation in their faculty, we will reflect on what has worked well and what has not in the faculty recruiting process. We hope by the end of the webinar to have identified 1) common best practices, 2) areas of improvement and 3) ways to continually improve together as a broader BME community.
