Linda Griffith & Douglas Lauffenburger Endowment

Young investigators attending the BMES Annual Meeting are eligible to receive a $500 grant from the Linda Griffith & Douglas Lauffenburger Endowment fund. 

Established in 2025 by BMES Robert A. Pritzker Distinguished Lectureship Award recipient Linda Griffith her husband, former BMES President Douglas Lauffenburger – both MIT professors – the grant provides childcare support for early career investigators who are balancing parenthood and early career challenges. 

In 2025, 10 applicants will be selected to receive support through this fund to help make participation in the BMES conference more accessible.
