The webinar is aimed at senior and junior faculty who are teaching and post-doctoral fellows planning to teach. The featured speakers will share best practices around using available technology to support and enhance student learning for biomedical engineering education by:
- Discussing advantages and disadvantages of electronic notebooks in BME design.
- Identifying advantages and examples of new teaching materials by taking numerical methods with BME applications from paper to iBooks.
- Demonstrating how an iBook course pack can integrate text, MATLAB code for MATLAB (Mathworks, Natick, Massachusetts), animated slide shows, and movies.
- Sharing a novel approach to biomedical engineering first-year design: virtual internships.
